MILLARD COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY
NOTICE OF VACANCY AND APPOINTMENT PROCESS – COUNTY ASSESSOR
Pursuant to Utah Code § 20A-1-508 and the Millard County Republican Party Constitution, notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists in the office of Millard County Assessor, currently held by Lora Fitch.
In accordance with state law, the vacancy will be filled by appointment. The Millard County Republican Party will convene on December 9, 2025, to select a nominee pursuant to party bylaws and will submit the nominee’s name to the Millard County Legislative Body. Upon receipt, the legislative body shall appoint the nominee to serve as the interim replacement to hold office until a successor is elected during the next General Election.
Qualifications: Candidates must be a United States citizen, a registered Republican voter residing in Millard County for at least one year immediately preceding appointment, and be state-licensed or state-certified as an appraiser or willing to obtain state licensure or certification within 36 months of appointment (see Utah Code § 17-66-201).
